What personal care is
Personal care is help with the daily activities someone can no longer do safely alone. Our personal care aides and nursing assistants help at home, on the schedule you need, so your family member can stay where they feel at home.
What the caregiver does
- Bathing and help in the bathroom
- Dressing and grooming
- Help with eating
- Help with walking and moving around the home
- Preparing meals
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Medication reminders
Who it is for
Older adults, people living with a disability or a chronic illness, and people who are recovering at home after a hospital stay.
How to pay
Through Virginia Medicaid, which pays for this care at home once you qualify for long-term care, or privately per hour. Paying for home care explains both.

A free visit at home
Our nurse visits you at home for a free assessment before care starts.
We match a caregiver
You can meet the caregiver before care starts, if you like.
Care starts
Often within 72 hours. With Medicaid, once your health plan has approved the hours.
We stay in touch
Our nurse visits again every 30 to 90 days. Not the right match? We find another caregiver, usually within 72 hours.
