What they do
Certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and home health aides (HHAs) help with personal care and daily activities: bathing, dressing, eating, moving around the home, and light housekeeping. They notice changes in health and tell our nurse.
Trained and screened
A CNA has passed the state nurse aide exam. Every caregiver has an interview, a reference check with previous employers and a criminal background check before they start with us.
A nurse who checks on the care
Our nurse writes the plan of care with you before care starts, and visits again every 30 to 90 days. Need medical care at home, such as medication or a feeding tube? Then look at private duty nursing.
How to pay
Through Virginia Medicaid, which pays for this care at home once you qualify for long-term care, or privately per hour. Paying for home care explains both.
